Time to Decorate!

Well I made it through Thanksgiving and it really was fabulous!!!! We had a full schedule starting Tuesday and the train is certainly not slowing down!!! My Mom, Dad, Brother and his kids arrived Tuesday afternoon, and the rest of the family rolled in a little each day afterwards, so that by Thanksgiving Day we had 30 people in our house for dinner or sometime after dinner. I loved every minute of it even though I was absolutely exhasuted.

Tuesday night we went to the Wizards game, and they actually won. I had intended on taking my dad and my brother but my Dad wasnt feeling well enough so my god sister took his ticket. Then after that it was non stop cooking!!! My Mom surprised me with a KitchenAid stand mixer and a shredder attachment!!!!! For my birthday / christmas present, I am sooooo excited it is awesome and I dont know how I lived without one for so long. I baked two cakes, a cheesecake, bread and shredded my cheese LOL in no time at all....plus made several dips hee hee

Friday my Mom and I went shopping several time scored some good deals, I just did Old navy and NY & Co... and not early in the am either. I had no interest in hitting any stores for doorbusters LOL We got the tree last night ( a real one for the first time since the girls were born) at their request, and I am so excited because it's been so long since I have had a real one LOL and we are going to decorate today.

Bad Blogger

I know, I know I have been neglecting my blogging. Just been a little bit wrapped up in my own head along with my regular life duties. I need to be diligent since the holidays will only force me to have less and less time to blog, and scrap, scrap and blog.

I did manage to get a layout done yesterday and a I just finished a button tree (muy theraputic sticking pins in something when you feel like ripping someones face off!!!!!) You should really give it a go!!! I actually don't like the tree...bordering on hating it... but maybe it will grow on me. It's probably my funky mood. So maybe by Christmas I'll like it, hope so since it's a shitload of buttons and pins and I feel like it needs more but I dont have anymore pins i nthe house LOL. I sincerely doubt I'll feel like pulling it back apart if I dont fall in love with it.

So long story short cause I cant really get into all of it anyhow, and even if I could I really wouldn't know how to put all thats going on in my head out there. But here's the deal with my mood - I feel kind of stupid, I remember why trusting people to not be f*&^% stupid never quite works out right. And in the end you have no one to blame but yourself. YIKES guess I'll stop there.

So back to the other things I have been up too. My Mom and the rest of the clan will start rolling in on Tuesday...so the house needs to be presentable, so I have been furiously cleaning....hoping she will clean more when she gets here ROFL. I also went vertical for my cardstock storage because I was out of room in my cubes and couldnt stand all the stacks of paper perched around my room. I took some pictures in here because for once my room didnt have boxes of kit stuff in it LOL although I had to close the door that leads to the kitchen because otherwise you would see said kit boxes in the pictures cause I just slid them out to take the pictures. I still have to clean the closet to stash them in while company is around ROFL. So forgive the bad lighting its never great in my little cave but better when all the doors are open. My room is what would be the dining room in normal houses where women dont have enough paper and glue to fill and entire room ROFLMBO!

I guess that's about it for now.. I realize how much I have missed posting as I type...just not good. But hey spit happens and the longer I type the more rambly (?!?) this will get. So I'm done!!!

She's baaacck!

I had a few false starts this week, thank god I print my pictures out myself so I am not heartbroken over the fact that I have 2 layouts stuck together that are horrible LOL. But this morning after a LOT of coffee to get over my girls night out at the club, I managed to pull together these two, I am really happy with the way they came out!!!

Girls Day! Whoot Whoot

So today I am going to take a much needed girls day :) just a little window shopping, lunch and my favorite cupcakes! You rember my favorite cupcakes :) if not just scroll back to my birthday post. Anyhoo... I figure I might as well indulge myself with a few cupcakes...maybe 1/2 dozen ROFLMBO. Because I am awaiting some news that will most likely have me not eating for the next two months. OK I am being dramatic...eating healthy for the next two months in an effort to drop a few...ok minimizing drop 10 lbs. ROFLMBO

Not much going on scrap wise...... I think that I have overwhelmed myself with my purchases and the kits arriving at my door and actually have too much new stuff on hand. So I cant seem to get a thing done, I need to buy some new paper storage and probably do a little reorg.... so I can find stuff and possibly make a dent in all this crap I have accumulated. I am also totally out of albums and page protectors, so I am assuming that is also screwing with my creativity. I dont want to make something and have no place to put it!!!!

Anyhow, it's just about time to go...so here's one I did the day before yesterday. A nice mix of some of my new goodies and some older stuff I had hanging at my desk.

Hmmmmm... isn't that funny and totally unplanned there are my cupcakes!! No wonder I have been dreaming of them, I scrapped them ROFL

Forum Back Up

ok the forum is back up, Holiday Workshop back on, I'm going to go take a little nap and restart the day again.

I hate rolling out of bed to a fresh pile of chaos....

Scrapbook Takeout Forum is Down

Hopefully it wont be down for to long, sorry for the interruption to the Workshop, but all classes will be posted as soon as it gets up. And as the team wakes up and logs on from all over the world we will get stuff up in other places as we can :)

Wake up and smell the turkey! Noodlehead!!!!

It's been a few days since I posted anything, as usual its been crazy nutty and busy at House o'Garcia! I woke up yesterday in a sheer panic reazing that I only had 2 weekends before Thanksgiving! I will have a house full of people.......that I am reluctant to count for fear of going into a total and utter panic attack. Hmmmm lets see if I can type it..... 22 with the posibility of 26 ahhhhhhhhh just shaking a little.


Actually I hosted Thanksgiving last year as well, had more people and survived but this year I feel a bit more out of control personally than I did last year so it could really just be a toss up. Not much scrapping going on over here I actually took a bit of a break from the actual layouts to work on the Holiday Workshop stuff and in true me fashion forgetting how close Christmas was and that I hadnt made myself any ornaments for my tree or friends I spent last week desk deep in embossing powder and glitter.


It was so funny I had a late meeting at work last Monday and spent an hour in the morning finishing up a few ornaments, and went and held my meeting. After the meeting one of the guys asked me if I had been out last night because I was sparkling all over!!!!!! ROFLMBO All I could muster was just a glitter explosion over at my house...kids ya know..... yeah just one big kid blowing ultrafine glitter all over. The floor is still sparkling over here.


My other hobby this week has been visiting my Michaels damn near everyday! Spending way too much of my money!!! BUT Holy Cow batman my entire store was remodeled, the entire center of the store is all scrapbook stuff and it's fabulous! It seems as though they listened to their customers when the closed down Recollections, because the set up, fixtures and MOST OF ALL PRODUCT is just like Recollections used to be. Thank goodness for small favors, although my trips reminded me of how much I shop online because by trip #3 the girls asked if we were going to move into Michaels!!!


Oh I also finished the Twilight Series!!!!!!! Even read the unfinished manuscript online and just wanted to cry because I now have to wait to hear more from Edward, and with the series in the air after some asswipe stole her work and illegally posted it who knows how long that will be (well all remember how I feel about plagiarism). I can only hope that Edward and Bella keep her up at night in her head inspiring her to finish that book and write 10 freaking more! Because she is just an amazing author and I soooo have a serious lusting to be Edward Cullens teenage bride...MOVE OVER Bella, Li, and Kahli! and Vernell dont even think about it HE"S MINE!

Holiday Workshop at Scrapbook Takeout

We are holding a Holiday Workshop on the Scrapbook Takeout Fourm November 10th - November 14th. There will be a bunch of holiday inspiring classes posted throughout the week!!!



Supply lists and sneak peeks are going up this week a few are alreeady up including mine :) its a great way to get some ideas for your holiday handmades!! I love the way my two projects came out particularly my ornaments. Here's a peek of my Mini Album Tin, and just one of the chipboard ornaments I made, I have made 6 different ones so far!!!
