Layouts, a sneaky peeky and dead hamsters!!

So I have been trying to do a little scrapping, the process seems to be slower than it was earlier this year, maybe I am a seasonal scrapper who knows!!! Lately i cant seem to get more than one done per day with that one laying around for a week before it's finished. Between last weekend and today I have managed to only get three done. But I am very happy with the way they came out, labors of love for sure.....and always theraputic.

Its almost kit shipping time again and the sneak peek is up, we will have handmades in the kit again butterflies from Vernell and I am doing the flowers. Here's a little peek of the flowers going into this months kit :) I love them!!!!! My palms are sore from all the punching LOL but I'll live.

This morning didn't quite start out the way I had intended since I was awakened by a crying child, Fancy our super old hamster finally died. She was almost 3 years old which is a big deal for a hamster....so we of course are planning quite the send off....sighhhhhhh animal funerals are my deal Mel doesnt do them but hopefully I can at least get some help digging the hole since the ground is hard. Frankly I am just happy that the hamster died of old age and not at my hands ROFL

Happy Valentine's Day

First things first, here is my latest Gutter Girlz Prompt :) as usual always fun to do these!!!

We kicked of Valentines Day weekend with a night of dinner and dancing with Li and Tr. It's not easy to get 4 adults and 5 kids plus a babysitter all coordinated for one evening but we managed to make our dinner reservations and have lots of fun!!

Proof positive that scrapbookers are a creative bunch, my dress was a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen and the top of it kept shifting to show my bra, after much discussion and no time to change or pick something else out we started wishing for double stick tape. My first though was glue dots...then tada it hit me the atg!!!! So we whipped it out and Li went to work taping up my shirt!!!! And in true scrapbooker form we had to have pictures roflmao.

70 Degrees in February!!

Yippppeeeee!! its fabulous out today! Actually the entire weekend has been rather warm considering how cold it has been lately. It has been a busy one, Li and I had our monthly girls night out on Friday night :) Good food, good drinks and a good time as usual. Saturday I didnt get as much scrapping done as I would have liked with errands and one of the girls had to attend a birthday party that night but I did manange to get my Gutter Girlz prompt done which was good! I'll post that this week sometime.

Today was the warmest of all three days and now I truly have spring fever!!!! It hit 70 today and it actually felt a bit warmer out in the direct sunlight :) I spent the morning in the ER because Deja's cold....is now a sinus infection and ear infection. But luckily we were in and out fairly early. Thankfully she is taking it all in stride and agreed that she felt well enough to go to the zoo for a bit. So Kahli came over with the girls and we piled into the van for a little outdoor time.

We didn't do too much of the zoo, if you have ever been to the National Zoo you know it's just huge!!! So today we spent most of our time with the birds, with a touch of cheetahs and bears for good measure before heading back home. Here are a few pictures from the day out :)

February Kits

The February Kits are up and shipping at Scrapbook Takeout! This kit is a lot of fun, I have only done one layout with it so far but I intend to hopefully sit down tonight and play some more. The colors are easy to work with and very soothing :) I only have 4 kits left so if you want it I suggest you get it now!!!

A lot has been going on the home front and I have managed to stay pretty busy but in the best of ways. I have been trying to focus on spending time doing things that I like to do, and also trying to spend time with family and friends, to beat the winter blues and to deal with my husbands crazy schedule.

So far it's been working!!! Just this past weeekend we had an in promptu pizza party, date night with the hubby (dinner and a play) and a little superbowl party (that I am regretting this morning since the kids are whinning and crying as I try to get them off to school). But all in all except for dragging a$$ this morning it was a great weekend. Just what the doctor ordered!!!

After this post I only have 4 more posts until I hit 100 :) I have a two blogging goals that I would like to start working on come post 101, ok maybe 3. I want to do a bit more writing and make it a bit mroe meaningful than I do now, and I want to have more layouts to share when I do. I am hoping tha twill mean more posts and more posts full of my work. I think a win win :)
